Guide for unprotected Blu-ray ISO for PowerDVD

I usually see that when it's a graphics driver issue. What OS and what graphics card/driver are you using?

I have an issue where I mount the iso image on virutal cd and open up powerdvd 9 and it just wont play it, no errors or anything but won't play it.

What film?

Strange, my ISO of QOS works fine in PDVD 9

thank you, Adbear

Adbear, I registered just to thank you for the instructions. I experienced so much frustration, and in desperation googled for a solution and found your post. Your instructions worked perfectly. Thank you so much. I've been able to load 2 dozen of my favorite blu rays onto a portable hard drive, and can watch them on any of my computers!

IMGBURN does not have the option to creating image from files. so do you simply drag in the files? Also, you always click Video DVD and not Data BluRay, correct? Data BluRay is the one giving you the UDF option and not Video DVD. I've also attempted to drag in the "certificate" and it didn't drag. When I dragged in, the BDMV it said it was not a valid video file and then it dragged it in anyway.

yes it does, using the 'ez-mode picker'.
Are you sure you're using Imgburn? It doesn't have Video DVD options or Data Blu-ray, sounds like you're using Nero

Black Screen and only Chapter 0

I'm getting the same thing! Quantum Of Solace is the movie.

Perferct on PDVD8 but black on PDVD9.

I am getting something similar with Hellboy2 and PDVD 7.3. I am using PDVD to test the ISOs before burning them to BD-RE but, no luck yet.

What build of 7.3, and what are you using to mount the ISO's?

Good question... it is the 7.3 OEM that came packaged with my LG BH08. There is no build number in the about box or the info settings, only SR Number CDS08092602. I am using the latest virtual clone drive for mounting and it has all worked on the one other movie I have tried so far which is Changeling. It plays a black screen, no audio and only chapter 0.

I also own PDVD 8 Ultra but, it has been so problematic relative to its "environment", now that I have a great BD standalone player, I thought I would just use this free lite version to test images and burns.

Is 5+ hours typical for zeroing a BD-RE DL and is it normal for it to be a 99% for quite a while? Is it worth the effort if there are no security concerns?

thanks.

@ 4rnr

Writing your OEM serial number is quickest way to get it blacklisted. Please don't write product key or serial number in public forums.

I understand, it was not my intent. Foolish perhaps but, for all I know, SR stands for Software Release.

When PDVD is open, right click choose 'about', then click on your name in the 'licensed to' box the next screen that comes up has all the details.
Also, you don't say what actual build of VCD you are using, never just say 'the latest version' as often when people say ths they aren't using the latest build. Always post build numbers.
Could also do with some system specs and graphics driver versions
