The Files I ripped To HDD with AnyDVD HD Play Fine From My StandAlone Sony BD/DVDPlayer. From My Fuji DVD+R DL Rebook-typed DVD-ROM I used Nero 8 Burn DVD Files.


Also I dunno If it's Me haven watched a few Blu-Rays lately...but the color quality of this DVD literally sucks.
EDIT: It Sucks on the PC as well. So no It isn't my TV going out.

Still can't Get CloneDVD to work, keeps closing

I downloaded the newest programs and I keep trying but it wont work.

The problem is Clonedvd (or possibly Anydvd) isn't handling this dvd properly. If you try to do a full disc backup (to a regular single layer blank), Clonedvd will crash. So, you can either wait for a Clonedvd (or possibly Anydvd) update--or you can create a movie only backup (no menus, etc.). The subject of this thread says to do a movie only backup.

I've now repeated this information multiple times in this thread.

Confirmed. You can make a DVD-5 backup using this method without CloneDVD crashing. This was done directly from the DVD. Unfortunately, you are losing the extra material in the process.
 
AnyDVD + CloneDVD + DVDShrink combination works

I used this combination and it worked for the ENTIRE DISC:

Use Anydvd 6.4.7.1 beta

Use Clonedvd 2.9.1.9 and selected DVD R DL and backed files up to hard disk folder

Then used Shrink to shrink the files to a single layer disk (I guess I could have tried to use CloneDVD to try to compress the files also at that point, but didn't think of it)

Movie, menus, specal features, etc all work fine!

Here is another method that works for a full disc or selective backup compressed to DVD-5 with CloneDVD: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=21006.

Nonetheless, I'd like to keep third party discussion to a minimum in the CloneDVD forum. I posted my workaround in the Third Party forum because it used a third party product along with AnyDVD and CloneDVD.

These are temporary solutions for now. I'm sure the issues will be resolved soon. I don't believe Slysoft even has this movie on disc yet.

Thanks to DrinkLyeAndDie and Webslinger for all the great information in this thread. Been following it for the last 2 days since I got the movie and wasn't able to back the movie up. I just did a full rip with AnyDVD and just waiting for the CloneDVD (or whatever) fix now. Thanks guys.

ii. Click start. Right click on "My computer"--->select "properties".
iii.Click on the 'Hardware' tab--->click the 'device manager' button.
iv. Open the dvd/cdrom branch---> right click on your optical drive
v. Click "properties".
vi. You should have a region tab. From there you can select a region.
vii. Select the region that you're in
viii. Start Anydvd

Do a main movie only backup in Clonedvd. A full disc backup will crash Clonedvd.

I get the same error message when it gets to 3% that clone dvd has encountered and error and needs to close I am getting very frustrated.

ok, ill try remove that Afc.sys, and try again, but it seems strange that that program has been on here forever and i never had a problem until zohan, even did the happening no problem. to answer the other question, clonedvd crashes at 3% from the video_ts folder of the rip as well as the original disc.
