I've just read this (german) article that reports about a new audio stream on Amz that boosts the parts of the dialogue that are barely audible. I checked the first episode of Jack Ryan and I can see it in the browser.

However, AS doesn't show it, and there are some "duplicates" in the log.

Also, there was this thread reporting about multiple entries for the same bitrate. I also have that for the first episode, so I assume AS can only see that they are the same language (which they are), but doesn't know that this is a different version (like descriptive audio or forced subs). So it just throws them together. Maybe it even is a mix of both variants, of both AS throwing them together and of filtering them out if only some of them are looking the same way as the normal audio does.

Oops, completely forgot to attach the logfile. Have done that now. Nice to see that the update brought an indication of the upload %, that was not really clear before.
 
You're right, but there is a way to "differentiate them" as you can see in the image, you just need to implement it in AnyStream, I wouldn't use it, but surely someone would prefer these "new audios".

Is that one of the other download programs people posted about? If so, can you provide me some details per PN? I've once found one but never got it to work or understood what to do.

nops, it's my personal tool, the screenshot it's just to show the audios that you say.
 
Does it actually make a difference, because AC3/E-AC3 had that feature for ages (of course it requires studios to do their job properly):

In case you want to say "you have AS why do you ask for this", well, AS can't download from some sites (/they are not supported) and I want to see if that could.

The problem is 5.1 on stereo system, the dialog in on the center speaker, so it's why we don't listen anything to dialog, I wonder if the stereo tracks available are real stereo tracks and not downmixes from 5.1, it's maybe better. When I watch Nfx it's better with dialog when there is the stereo track option (but on AS we can't make the difference).
 
So it's just a volume analyzer for different dialects.

It analyses the parts of dialog that are barely audible due to explosions and music and stuff and makes them louder.

That's why I don't watch TV anymore, for some years now. The ads are annoying and I now have many things on Disc, Amz/etc or the media library of the broadcaster.

What I don't get is why they need "AI" to do it, when trivial compand processing would do a way better job?! 🤷‍♂️

I'd not be surprised if it were downmix, it's unlikely production does two types of recording. What do you mean re. AS, you can select DD+ stereo?..

In AS all the audio streams are always available from 5.1 to stereo, but when I watch Netflix on the app, sometimes I see 2 languages : English 5.1 and English stereo, both are available on the app, but not on every movie and show, so I think there is a distinct stream for stereo in this case, but in AS you don't know this because all the streams are avalaible in the same way.

Yes but I was not talking about that. I'll check some titles on Nfx, maybe I'm wrong and they just changed the app.

EDIT: I don't find anything so they changed the app I think. What I mean it's before I could choose between english and english stereo (in the Nfx app) but now it's not possible. So I don't know if we had just the choice or if it was 2 real distinct streams, but as I don't find anything now I think I can close the little off topic :)
