I'm new to this game. Thus I'm still a "fish out of water" and hope everyone can tolerate my naïvety. Bear with me.
I have followed your instructions to the letter (so I think) and am still unable to produce a BD-R movie capable of playback on my PS3 unit. I have taken a few different approaches using your guide as reference. They are as follows;
1. Using AnyDVD, I would 'Rip to HardDisk', as instructed, producing the the Blu-ray files on my HDD. Here is the info from my effort to rip 'The Book of Eli' using AnyDVD;
Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 6.6.8.0)
HP BDBDH8E2L 8HD9 2009/12/30 17:32
Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!)
Media is a Blu-Ray disc.
Total size: 9842816 sectors (19224 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: THE_BOOK_OF_ELI
Media is AACS protected!
AACS MKB version 16
Removed AACS copy protection!
Note: automatic detection of region code not possible with this disc.
Blu-ray disc Region set to A!
Possible Blu-ray Java region lock removed!
Blu-ray Java signatures fixed!
BD-Live deactivated!
Removed UOPs!
2. After closing AnyDVD, I opened ImgBurn and tried the following approaches (I changed the file system to UDF 2.5 and the label name to 'THE BOOK OF ELI' in each instance);
A. Using the option 'Write files/folders to Disc'. I don't know if this was incorrect, but I tried it anyways. Here's the log;
B. I also attempted to do the following using ImgBurn.
'Create image file from files/folders' (image ripped to HDD) --->
Then, using the newly created image file, I would 'Write image file to Disc'.
Here is the log file;
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong or what else I'm missing. I've used 3 types of discs, a 25GB & 50GB BD-R and a 25GB BD-RE. All have failed.
Nothing happens when attempting to play the discs on my PS3. After loading the disc, the PS3 'clock' at the top right of the screen starts to read the disc but it freezes after roughly 5 seconds and the console appears to quit trying to read it.
Every iso/image file (mounted using Virtual Clone Drive) & disc that I have burned plays successfully on my computer using PowerDVD 9.0.2919.52.
PS3 has current firmware, version 3.41 & purchaed blu-rays play without problem. So I assume it isn't a PS3 hardware issue.
Thanks in advance for any help. I really need it.:doh:
