problem with playlist of "The Last Stand "

I've extracted the playlist #842 as I thought it would be the correct one (seen on page 1 of this thread) but I've just watched the movie and there was one scene in double (right in the middle of the movie).

Now that I know that apart from this, it seemed to be OK (I didn't see it on theater so I can't be 100 % sure), I checked all playlist with eac3to and I think that the correct playlist for the Canadian edition is #683 !

683 doesn't even exist on the disc that was said to use 842.

What does your AnyDVD status window say?
Log file please.

For all your information:

There are always different discs with the same title out there.
If someone says a certain playlist is the right one, that does not mean, that your disc uses the same playlist.
AnyDVD almost always gets it right.

Even though this idiotic protection still hasn't stopped any of the really bad guys from uploading pirated copies to torrents on day 1 of the disc's availability, Sony DADC are having a field day with all the confusion that is going on here among people, who (I hope) actually bought and paid for the movie.

There is this one disc, where AnyDVD reports 842 to be the correct playlist, but this has been said to be incorrect.
If your AnyDVD status window reports a different playlist, everything should be fine - trust AnyDVD.

Regarding the "842" disc (other's please ignore this!):
some say, playlist 980 is the right one, but I strongly doubt that.
The only two playlists that make sense, are 842 and 797.

If anyone can please check 797 (or be 100% sure, that it's 980), let us know.

gereral1 Canadian Disc

The only two playlists that make sense, are 842 and 797.

If anyone can please check 797 (or be 100% sure, that it's 980), let us know.

I believe 797 is the only correct one, it matches the exact stream layout of a known working playlist of the US disc (Seems like that would not be a coincidence)

Unless they are different cuts of the movie, 797, 842 and 980 can't all be right.

For any users with the disc, if you have any type of commercial software (TMT/PDVD), play the disc back without AnyDVD running, this will reveal the correct runtime, this will eliminate many of the fakes straight way.

For example if it says the runtime is 1:47:13 (Like most other discs have been) then 842 or 980 are not correct.

If you don't have commercial software then do the same in a standalone player if you have one.

I can't send a log file as my parents got the disc.

But if you compare playlists 797 and 683, the only difference is that 683 contains the 518 m2ts file, so there's a scene missing in the 797 playlist.

Do whatever you want with this, but I'm confident I found the right one (for the Canadian edition).

Have you tried it in a standalone player or commercial software player?
That will tell you the runtime, so you can determine between 683/797.

Could be that 797 is correct and 683 has an added scene that shouldn't be there.

Did you see the movie ? It makes sense to me that the 518 scene should be part of it.

You're completely right ! My apologies here. I didn't remember that I've seen this scene twice in the movie ^^

So the correct playlist is 797. I can't wait to test if AnyDVD finds it :p

Thanks! By the way, I just found the 'sticky' at the top of the forum as well. I'm new...

2 m2ts files are duplicated with the same scene 513.m2ts is one of them so they are getting pretty advanced on this protection. First they are screwing with multiple playlist files. Then they are duplicating video files as well. Soon you will have to go through 1000 playlist files the way the movie industry is going. Anydvd HD latest update did not find the correct playlist. Maybe someday ill post a tutorial on bd-edit to show users how to find this.

You should sticky this post for users trying to find the correct playlist. The bluray is region 1 canada/usa version. Peace out

797 is the correct playlist.

They added duplicate clips of video to fool you guys and get confused. This is the correct playlist for region 1 canada/usa bluray of the movie The Last Stand:rock:

no it gave me the wrong playlist file as stated earlier. Even tried the beta with no luck

Then you need to provide an anydvd logfile for the problematic disc so peer can put together a fix so that in the next version it WILL show you the proper playlist.

That was way back with an older version of AnyDVD. I really doubt, the current version(s) give you the wrong playlist. Otherwise: log file, please.
