@testiles should already know exactly what this issue is cause we literally just had this discussion yesterday.

Since the first I heard of the problem was when Wolfenhex posted a Scanner update, I didn't spend any time trying to figure out the issue he had since he was already past that.


Anyway, how I read it was that he had the newest version already but it didn't work so he downloaded and installed it again, then it worked.


But yeah, guess it's more likely he had an older version then upgraded to the newest.


At any rate, mission accomplished - updates created and applied, all good.

Guys --



If you have a version of the Scanner you've been using a while and it suddenly stops working, a good general rule is to go to Post #3 and download the latest Scanner version -- get the latest and greatest as with any other app.

Even if it requires further debugging, that will always be the first step.


Also while there, make note of the current Minimum Scanner version, which is always available in Post #1.


Usually the Scanner itself will tell you if your version is below the Min and close itself, but versions way back before the 1.1.0.x line can no longer do that.

The source of that info for the Scanner has changed since then, so those older version will only start and immediately stop, as I understand it, without any message.


However, if you're still using Scanner versions that far back you are really waaaay behind. The Min has changed several times beyond anything before 1.1.0.0.

LibreDrive sometimes triggers an error that when a non-LibreDrive'd drive is used, would signal that the decryption process failed. With LIbreDrive this is normal (more or less...at least not harmful) but the scanner hadn't been updated to take that use case into account. It does now. For non-LibreDrive'd drives, the fix will HOPEFULLY not break anything but I've no way to test that.

Please everyone update to this build. It will be min version in a couple days at most, probably sooner.

I don't understand... The drives supported by AnyDVD natively are just a subset of the drives Makemkv supports with Libredrive. Now how can anybody scan an UHD with a drive that is not supported by Makemkv? It is not supported by AnyDVD natively either.

I really don't have time to explain this to you right now. Suffice it to say not everyone uses MakeMKV so the fact that it's "supported by LibreDrive" is completely irrelevant to them.

You're added as an alternate for Maverick.




socom0810 is actually the 7th alternate for this Maverick version -- and as a result it gets more updates than any other title - lol.

mbarnstijn, the original poster just updated it a few minutes before this. I myself updated it this morning.


It's taking a bit more time than all the other Maverick versions but hopefully the update we all want to see will be here soon - the "supported" update.

I'm sure the developers are working on that!
