Thanks for the info. I first tried before I updated ANYDVD and Clone DVD. After the update no sweat.

    bomb . . or a copy?

Since the Ghost Rider and Primeval discs are indicated as booktype dvd-r, might we suspect these are actually copies?

And if they were copies would not have protection on them

They don't though. Rich86 is right. Something is weird. The information you gave for both discs indicate no protection whatsoever, and the booktype is dvd-r.

Did someone give/sell you pirated discs? Do they look like pressed discs (silver) on the bottom?

This is a copy. No way a real pressed disc would show up this way.

Ghost Rider scan as requested by me a few days ago. This movie doesn't hit my region until Tuesday. In any case, in that image you can clearly see they do NOT use ARccOS on this disc and that it's a dual layer DVD-ROM. Why Sony hasn't been using ARccOS in the last few weeks is a very good question, however. :)

I wonder if they're the ones that are going to start using Protect DVD Video in other regions...

Maybe they woke up and said, "We might as well stop inconveniencing our customers."

    Wishful thinking?

I wouldn't put it past them to use ProtectDVD but I wonder if they learned a lesson with their last screw-up and before they release their newer incarnation of ARccOS they are making sure they won't end up with DVDs not playing in their own DVD players. But, I think I'm in the same boat as you... Wishful thinking.
