Since the Ghost Rider and Primeval discs are indicated as booktype dvd-r, might we suspect these are actually copies?

They don't though. Rich86 is right. Something is weird. The information you gave for both discs indicate no protection whatsoever, and the booktype is dvd-r. :confused:

good point never realized that. But thats what i got from disc is there anybody else who has ghost rider if they can post anydvd window so we can see thanks
 
i dont understand but i posted copied one to and its different so but they still work no matter what. But i also looked at both dvd kinds i use and both dvd+r. confused 2

Did someone give/sell you pirated discs? Do they look like pressed discs (silver) on the bottom?
 
no i got them from my dad he owns movie store. just a few minutes and i will get the movie and check any dvd window again to see

This is a copy. No way a real pressed disc would show up this way.
 
Iam not saying your wrong. my wife lent my copy out but soon as i get it back tonight i will post it. your probably right i made mistake probably. But i have original copy of it not bootleg or anything original and it will work with latest clonedvd and anydvd.
 
i must of copied anydvd status window for the copy but it does work and will post it later real anydvd status window

Ghost Rider scan as requested by me a few days ago. This movie doesn't hit my region until Tuesday. In any case, in that image you can clearly see they do NOT use ARccOS on this disc and that it's a dual layer DVD-ROM. Why Sony hasn't been using ARccOS in the last few weeks is a very good question, however. :)

I wouldn't put it past them to use ProtectDVD but I wonder if they learned a lesson with their last screw-up and before they release their newer incarnation of ARccOS they are making sure they won't end up with DVDs not playing in their own DVD players. But, I think I'm in the same boat as you... Wishful thinking.
