AnyDVD & 1 Click Copy Problem

Ha, a classic closing line! Good night my friend, and God bless!

Good luck. I'd be interested to see what Dell says.

The other thing I should have asked is if you have duplicate entries under "dvd/cd-rom drives" and under "disk drives".

Your knowledge is amazing; thanks so much. After I read your indicated material, I thought I would have to go to one of the further referenced registry edit process to enable DMA but before I do, I notice my other log had this-

/19/2007 7:16:39 PM info Destination Drive D: - DMA is enabled
4/19/2007 7:16:39 PM info Source Drive D: - DMA is enabled

How does such just apparently change? Also as I look at one Primary IDE channel marked DMA if available, the current transfer mode says PIO Mode. If I click on other Primary IDE channel, it says Ultra DMA Mode 5.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I tell which is my burner?

Thanks,

Dan

You Probably have
> a SATA HDD - That would be the first Primary @ Ultra DMA Mode 5 < Correct
> A 'Secondary' Primary ( IDE) = PIO << Indicates the BAD Channel

This is a correct Set-Up
I have Two Primary Channels and one secondary
There is nothing installed on my Secondary ( non applicable )

> Go into your Device Manager
> UN install Any/ All DVD/CD Drives ( Yes ; Both Drives )
> Right Click on Drive > Select=UNinstall
#### Do not restart Yet #####
> UN install the corresponding IDE Channel << (PIO)
> Right Click on IDE Channel , Select=UNinstall
> Now REboot > REboot again

After REsetting your DMA ;

1.
Right Click on your AnyDVD Fox > Settings >> PRESS the "Default" Button
( Bottom Left-hand corner of the AnyDVD Setting Interface )
Leave the AnyDVD Settings @ Default

2.
Right Click on the PRO Interface > Settings Menu

>>UNCheck= CPRx error correction enabled : TRUE
>>SET= Your "DVD-R Write Mode" at "Try SAO First"
>>UNCheck= Enable media stats collection - VSO

>>Set= Your "Preferred Burn Speed" at 1/2 of your Media's rating
ie: If using 16x Media= Set for 8x ; If using 8x Media= Set for 4x

:)

Bleh. Shannon is right. I'm suddenly less confused.

I was up very late last night fixing someone's system who did have double entries all over the place in device manager; I imposed his problem on this one, and somehow I got badly turned around.

Thank you

dclifford, ignore my comments about the double intel and double primary entries; I was wrong and thinking about something else. My apologies. Brutal mistake on my part.

Do what shannon90210 wrote.
