I have latest versions of both AnyDVD and 1 Click Copy and have difficulty backing up my DVD's. The problem started a couple of versions of AnyDVD back. Only an occasional DVD copies; most times I get a message that the DVD is encrypted, even though AnyDVD has recognized the disc. After many unsuccessful other attempts, including uninstalling, reinstalling both programs, etc.,to solve the problem, in despair I have used Dell's complete system restore to get my PC (running XP) back to it's Nov 2005 purchase state, have deleted Musicmatch, reinstalled both products and still have problems. I have McAfee security suite, but disable virus protection when copying. Any suggestions from forum readers as to how to proceed would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated.
Thanks,

Dan

Post one session per Reply Post
One or Two "Session(s)" in question should suffice

If the One Session is too long - Divide the Session into Two Postings

:)

Also remember when using AnyDVD with 1Click to disable (uncheck) cprx. Right-click in the program, should be the last option.

Also, if the dvd is scratched it will give you that message.

Also remember when using AnyDVD with 1Click to disable (uncheck) cprx. Right-click in the program, should be the last option.
Thanks, but i guess I'm confused. Are you refering to the "copy protection based on unreadable sectors" box as the one to uncheck?

Thanks again!

Unhhh, why isn't DMA enabled on your drives?

visit http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=7625 please

Disable CPRx in 1-Click if you're using Anydvd.
Your knowledge is amazing; thanks so much. After I read your indicated material, I thought I would have to go to one of the further referenced registry edit process to enable DMA but before I do, I notice my other log had this-

/19/2007 7:16:39 PM info Destination Drive D: - DMA is enabled
4/19/2007 7:16:39 PM info Source Drive D: - DMA is enabled

How does such just apparently change? Also as I look at one Primary IDE channel marked DMA if available, the current transfer mode says PIO Mode. If I click on other Primary IDE channel, it says Ultra DMA Mode 5.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I tell which is my burner?

Thanks,

Dan

You have two "Primary" ide channels? That's pretty wierd.

Just set Primary and Secondary IDE channels to "DMA if available"

Yes, here is what I see-

IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
Intel(R) 82801 GB Serial ATA Storage Controllers-27CO
Intel(R) 82801 GB Serial ATA Storage Controllers-27DF
Primary IDE Channel

Secondary IDE Channel

Delete both primary ide channels. reboot.
It seems to be that you have duplicate entries there. Deleting them and rebooting should fix that issue.
Then list what you see again.

It seems weird to me that you have two serial ata controllers listed like that as well, but I prefer not messing with stuff that your
OS may be booting off of.

As you might expect from a novice, the thought of deleting freaks me;especially when reading through your previous links cautions one against deleting. What should happen with this process? Also by order you listed, you mean both primary first, then 27CO, then 27DF?
Thanks.

Sorry, but also by delete, do you mean uninstall or can you right click and delete?

Thanks.

Leave the intel ones alone for now. Delete both primaries. And reboot. They will be redetected upon bootup--and I suspect only one will be listed this time.

How many drives do you have in your system?
