A possible outcome

After Un and Para switching to Blu-Ray, how we are going to watch Hollywood movies on HD-Dvd gear we already bought?
1. Watch cheaper movies released on CH-DVD, a variant on HD-DVD for the Chinese market. using cheap CH-DVD players or Hd-DVD players with firmware upgrade.
Hollywood will have to release movies on CH-DVD for the Chinese market. This is the backdoor approach.
2. If BD+ is cracked, since legitimate movies are not available, people stuck with
HD-DVD gear will find ways to watch HD movies thru re-encoded HD movies in hd-dvd, wmv-hd, .... etc formats. There will be more HD movie releases then now. Now, if movies are available for HD-DVD, they will buy more HD-DVD players.
So, by having movies released only in Blu-Ray format, cottage industry will grow out of necessity. Because, there is no more choice.

Never heard of CH-DVD doesn't look that developed. By adding more copy protection you just frustrate the legitimate customer. Also any news on a new cyberlink update?
