a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put an original movie dvd in your burner. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Windows Explorer will open, and uou will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
i) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"
m) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

CloneDVD issues

Hi
i recently have problems burning video data with CloneDVD.
sometimes HANGING at the beginning (waiting) or at the end (100%, buffers ... and the popup window for opening the drive doesn't pop up).
Laptop HP DV7-1160 Vista 32 SP1 Optiarc (1.83 firmware).
Verbatim discs.
Already uses the new write.dll.
Don't know if the firmware 1.04 is the newest?
Sometimes when reinstalling CloneDVD it works again.
Sometimes restarting helps.
With ConvertX to DVD I have no burn issues.
On my desktop XP (Plextor and Nec) I never have problems with CloneDVD!!!
Happy NEW year !!!

Please put a DVD in your DVD drive on this HP system and create a set of AnyDVD logs. It doesn't matter which DVD it is.

Please create the logs and post them.

  1. Ensure AnyDVD is running.
  2. Put the problematic original movie DVD in your burner. Wait for AnyDVD to scan the disc.
  3. Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
  4. Select "Create Logfile".
  5. Wait for AnyDVD to create a log file.

  9. If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  10. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't, please ensure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from the SlySoft forum).
  11. Click the "Browse" button and locate and select the ZIP file you created.
  12. Click "upload".
  13. Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the ZIP file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

I found a firmware 1.04 but mine is 1.83.

1. Yeah, you bought your drive from an OEM vendor. You need to contact HP and ask whether a firmware update is available for your drive.

2. Also, if you're not using default/Microsoft Sata drivers, try them instead (also contact HP to see if there are newer chipset drivers available for your computer).

3. Run Windows Task Manger, and "end task" on all unnecessary processes that are running in the background. Certainly the ipodservice doesn't need to be running.

thanks Web ! will do !
did you find something "odd" in the anyDVDlog file?
happy2009 !

ok thanks Guys !

To be specific, I noticed NVIDIA SATA drivers loaded. From that I deduced your motherboard is likely NVIDIA-based. I can't see why they would be loading otherwise.

The link Webslinger pointed you to discusses the issues with the drivers. The SATA, RAID, etc drivers are known to cause issues and NVIDIA has yet to release a fix or really address the issue with their drivers.

nvraid.sys - NVIDIA nForce RAID driver
nvstor.sys - NVIDIA SATA controller driver
