• AnyStream is having some DRM issues currently, Netflix is not available in HD for the time being.
Situations like this will always happen with AnyStream: streaming providers are continuously improving their countermeasures while we try to catch up, it's an ongoing cat-and-mouse game. same as we had happen with 'flix, occasionally AS would pick HEVC L120 (Main@L4) that's coded at lower bitrate instead of L123 (Main@L4.1) that is coded at a higher bitrate, but persistence would land you L123 eventually... Not sure why they need 4.1 but that's what they've done... Perhaps it's just the sort order in the manifest file and AS picks the first it can find, and between different hits different CDN nodes are hit...

Edit, having checked the downloads similar is happening with 4K (in the same log file) sometimes AS would pick L150 instead of L153.

I think you've got this pegged perfectly...if the CDN can't handle your request, it drops you down to the next lower level...or a different CDN.
It's too bad it's not predictable.

We don't know that, it could be just AS is picking up the first FHD/4K title it finds in the manifest (again, similar happened before with D+), and I've seen numerous DRM-free providers go wild with their manifests that are listed in absolutely (seemingly) random sort order.

For hulu it is, it's just a bit picky at the moment but they will improve it the developers here are the best in the world now by far
