ElbyCDIO 6.1.2.0 driver update

Hell, Microsoft, how are developers supposed to test this? I can't even use a VM, because this doesn't offer secure boot. :(

I suppose they expect developers to have at least one newer physical separate Secure Boot capable machine that enforces the new strictness to do their testing. Sadly, this isn't overly surprising. :(

Old and new, it works great

No I haven't done any Windows updates for a little bit. But I'm sure I have the service packs though. Will check it when I get home.
As far as the bios/secure boot stuff. I have no idea about this. All I can say is that it has the factory settings & O/S installed. Would an AnyDvDHD sys information logfile for it help you out.
For the 6.1.2.0 driver update to work, you need to install this Microsoft update from March 10, 2015:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/3033929.aspx

If you haven't installed 6.1.3.0 yet, please try it.

Installed fine on W10 Pro x64. AnyDVD and VCD succesfully shut down during install and restarted afterwards immediately

Excellent, probably is some automated process then i'd guess. Didn't expect an M$ signed version so soon.

If the original file that was posted seems to work with no apparent issues is there any reason to update to the latest one posted?

Win 1607
OS Build 14393.1198
no Secure Boot

Thanks

Yes, always use the latest version, as with AnyDVD. The the main thing for the "newer" ones is to find out if there are any more installation issues due to M$'s different driver signing requirements

Will do, thanks!

P.S. I always run the latest version of AnyDVD.

If you haven't installed 6.1.3.0 yet, please try it.
3 PCs, all 3 Creator's Update; 2 x64 and 1 x86. 1 x64 doesn't have any software I know requiring ElbyCDIO.sys, the other 2 (1 x64 and x86) run AnyDVD, etc. Current versions of AnyDVD.

All three 6.1.3.0 installed without a hitch.

If you haven't installed 6.1.3.0 yet, please try it.

Kudos to you, James, for such prompt corrective action of a potentially catastrophic software problem.

Quick action like this makes my buying multiple AnyDVD licenses easier to justify. :)

Well although James posted it, technically elby did the work (I think). After all, it's in the name. ;-)

That update is not applicable to my computer. Per the self-installer download. And was released prior (March 2015) to the last time I have installed Windows updates (June 2016).

Am just going to try the 6.1.3.0. installation of the Driver. And see what happens then.

And 6.1.3.0. works just fine.

Thought that maybe my Avast Free AV might have been blocking it. As it would block the installation of AnyDvDHD when I first started to use that AV. And had to add it to exclude to get it to act right. But disabled ALL the shields to it. And still no dice for 6.1.2.0.
But since .3.0. works I'm good now. Thanks for the update.
