Audio Tracks - I'm not sure anymore

I'm not sure which audio track to download at times.

I recently learned that DDPlus = Dolby Digital and HE-AAC = High Efficiency Advance Audio Code, and DDPlus Atmos is for the 'upward' firing speaker systems; and the number after indicates stereo or 5.1

I don't have an Atmos system, so it comes down to the DDPlus or the HE-AAC.

Therefore, my question is: (1) Of the two, which is the more universal?

My Roku hates HE-AAC through Plex and transcodes it to AC3. I suggest DDPlus. It's not always Atmos encoded.

I appreciate the the advice. The reason I asked was due to some flicks not working with one audio track but worked with a different one.

That is why is I asked in a different post about being able to download multiple audio tracks in one attempt.

Life is about trail and error.

Thanks again.
