You ain't kidding. This new AnyDVD ripper code is fantastic! I just played around with Pursuit of Happyness using the ripper...truly awesome! You will be quite pleased with the results.

I can tell you that it's making me sing and dance...(ohh, what a horrible thought! I suck at both! :D) James, this is truly a remarkable piece of code you put in there. Well done! It deserves the all-singing-all-dancing(tm) label for sure! :)

Sigh. Can't reproduce this problem. I'll keep an eye on it.
(Again, I would recommend CloneDVD2 over the ripper anyway, as bogus titles can be deselected manually, so if a user owns CloneDVD2, he should use it to copy to harddisk)
The ripper is not required or recommended if you use CloneDVD2 as your transcoding / remuxing / burning application.

Yeah, I think my response would have been if you own Clonedvd, which that individual does, then don't use Anydvd ripper.

Wow. I'm impressed. I hope us users didn't cause you too many headaches. Thank you for listening! I'll try it out on a movie very soon.

Congratulations go to SamuriHL, who found the first bug in the new DVD ripper:
It will abort with a "FileIO 1" error, if the Volume label of the disc to copy has spaces at the end. An example is "The Queen", R1.
Be very careful if you copy a disc with an empty volume label!
If the rip is aborted and you are asked, if the created files should be deleted, answer with "NO"!
Otherwise a lot of files from your harddisk may be deleted!
I already fixed it, next beta will be available soon.

    This 2 gr8 news

    Just a little question James

Why was the AnyDVD ripper shortcut removed. I use the Ripper A LOT to get a DVD down 2 my harddrive before i run it through DVD Rebuilder Pro. As it is now so must i start AnyDVD before i can access it. Please put the shortcut back.

A fixed version (6.1.4.2) is available. I edited the link in the first post.

    Have fun testing!

    6.1.4.2 2007 05 03
    - New (DVD): AnyDVD ripper rewritten from scratch. It is no
longer based on FixVTS code but on the powerful copy engine of
CloneDVD2, licensed from Elaborate Bytes AG. If you want more
control (stream selection, main movie only selection, ...) we
recommend elby CloneDVD2 available at http://www.slysoft.com
    - New (DVD): AnyDVD ripper can now handle heavily protected discs
    - New (DVD): AnyDVD ripper output is now fully compatible with
    DVD Shrink and Nero Recode
    - New (DVD): Protection removal of AnyDVD core is more compatible
with DVD Shrink and Nero Recode. Some heavily protected discs
like "Perfume" (R2, German) can now directly be opened with Shrink
    without prior ripping to harddisk.
    - New (DVD): Added support for new copy protections to the option to
remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
    - New (Blu-ray): Improved detection / removal of region code
Multi region (e.g. Region A+C) discs are now handled correctly
    in "automatic" region removal mode
    - Change: Workaround for registration problem on Windows Vista
    - Change: Removed AnyDVD ripper shortcut
    - Fix: Title 10 of "Perfume", R2, German was damaged
    - Some minor fixes and improvements
    - Updated languages

I find it odd that when I edit the title of the first post of a thread (to 6.1.4.2 in this case), the thread title still indicates what existed originally (6.1.4.1) . . .

Anyway, I had no problems installing 6.1.4.2.

Installing? Hell I've already tested it on the movie that was broken. :D Worked perfectly.
