AnyDVD 6.1.4.2 beta

Download here:

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6142.exe

Changes:

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/changes_anydvd.txt

6.1.4.2 2007 05 03
- New (DVD): AnyDVD ripper rewritten from scratch. It is no
longer based on FixVTS code but on the powerful copy engine of
CloneDVD2, licensed from Elaborate Bytes AG. If you want more
control (stream selection, main movie only selection, ...) we
recommend elby CloneDVD2 available at http://www.slysoft.com
- New (DVD): AnyDVD ripper can now handle heavily protected discs
- New (DVD): AnyDVD ripper output is now fully compatible with
DVD Shrink and Nero Recode
- New (DVD): Protection removal of AnyDVD core is more compatible
with DVD Shrink and Nero Recode. Some heavily protected discs
like "Perfume" (R2, German) can now directly be opened with Shrink
without prior ripping to harddisk.
- New (DVD): Added support for new copy protections to the option to
remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
- New (Blu-ray): Improved detection / removal of region code
Multi region (e.g. Region A+C) discs are now handled correctly
in "automatic" region removal mode
- Change: Workaround for registration problem on Windows Vista
- Change: Removed AnyDVD ripper shortcut
- Fix: Title 10 of "Perfume", R2, German was damaged
- Some minor fixes and improvements
- Updated languages

Have fun testing it!

James,
Well, that should make some members real happy! Thanks James and, for the record, I did not believe that you were just hangin' around the beach like some members said ... a long hard job I'm sure ... good idea, good work, much appreciated.

Hi :)
James & co. Excellent! Oh yeah....  :agree:

I'm getting an error. I'm going to try and reboot my computer and redo it, but who knows?

Error opening file for writing: "C:/WINDOWS/system32/ElbyCDIO.dll"

Exit out of all Slysoft programs and reinstall

a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Anydvd (start-->all programs-->Slysoft--->Anydvd-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Try running a registry cleaner program at this point like CCleaner
e) Download Anydvd http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6141.exe
f) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
g) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
h) Reinstall
i) Reboot
j) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732
k) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs

Wow!!!!!!!!

Now I have to rewrite some stickies.

Note that a new CloneDVD2 version will be released shortly, which fixes the occasional problem of "uncompressable output" in DVD Shrink, so elby CloneDVD will (then) still be the best method to rip for Shrink & Recode, as you can manually deselect unwanted titles.
Just wanted to tell you, before you change the stickies. :D

Thanks for the advice, Webby. I got it fixed with a restart though. It's been about 3 weeks since the last restart.

O.k., thank you.

Well, it was about time...
I simply like Shrink too much to ignore it.

CloneDVD should be in EVERY user's toolbox, without a doubt, but, Shrink certainly knows how to compress things better than any other transcoder in existence. This version of AnyDVD is a VERY welcome step forward for the Shrink community for sure. It will put a smile on a LOT of people's faces...especially in light of the R4M situation.

Great work, indeed!

*cough* Recode *cough* ;)

Yea, I have recode, too...like it REALLY matters which one you use. :) (Well, there is one user who uses Shrink over Recode because of the force subtitle issue...can't says that I blame him on that one.) Nonetheless, Recode, Shrink....either that you use, you're going to be VERY pleased with the brilliantly done new AnyDVD Ripper. (James, I do like the way you handle it...I'm quite impressed with how it goes about it. ;))

Maybe, this will fix the issues with Sony discs and Dvd Shrink. :)
