I have CloneDVD2. I was able to back it up with that. I was hoping to get the uncompressed copy as it is quite long at 2 hours 11 minutes.

AnyDVD 8.6.0.0 CloneCD 5.3.4.0 The problem is the movie will not write to the DVD. It just sits there with the drive spinning, but nothing being written. It's such a long movie that I didn't want to try the CloneDVD2. Attached is the log file.

Darnedest thing. After it played in VLC, I thought I would try it again in CloneDVD2 and it seemed to work. And I got a log incase anyone can figure out why it only worked after I played it in VLC.

I cleaned it. I played in a DVD player and with VLC media player.

Couldn't generate a log or rip to disk. Tried CloneCD and it seemed to copy until it gave up after an hour. Won't even register with CloneDVD2.

Obviously you are looking for a fight. Have it on your own as I'm already out of grade school. I come looking for answers, you seem to only want pissing contests.

You might be right, but I see others are having the problem as well. It is possible that every disk is "marginal" of course.

That was a pretty negative post without any redeeming quality. Is that your normal way to respond to people?

Just as a test, I tried to play it using VLC and it failed. I also tried playing it using my DVD player and it worked. I suspect we are looking at a new protection scheme.

I did get the beta now and here is the log. As you suggested, it didn't seem to make any difference.

The problem happens every time. A search here produced no results on "uncut gems" and there is the question of it being an AnyDVD or a CloneDVD2 problem.

Not sure if this is a AnyDVD or a CloneDVD2 problem. The symptoms are when trying to backup the movie Uncut Gems, the "Video titles" doesn't show the movie. In fact, it shows there are 64 files, but only includes 13 on the list. One of the ones missing is #1 which I assume is the actual movie.

That's exactly how I ripped the disk. We just described it slightly differently. I couldn't get it to play in WMP at all. But it does play in VLC. Now I just want to get it to a DVD.

Sorry for the delay. I opened the movie on disk (folder Video_TS) located in the folder ALADDIN. I'm guessing that means the repair worked. Can I now copy that file to a DVD? Would I use CloneDVD2? Thanks In Advance.
