I'd like this to be supported, too I can't tell you how many times I converted a DVD, a month later sat down to watch it and found that most of the movie was in English but some was not. Arggggh.

Ok I'll use CloneDVD2 to rip to ISO, then I'll use Virtual CloneDrive to mount it, and then I'll use Recode to make a reasonably small file for watching. Anyone have suggestions (HandBrake does NOT work for me) for eliminating Recode? It's the best I've found so far...

I use Nero Recode and I've never had this problem. I get "This DVD is copy-protected!" and "Copy Protection Error - The read failed because the sector is encrypted." My drive is set to region 1. It (GH22LS50) has the latest firmware (TL03). I have no packet writing software installed...

That caused the taskbar to unhide and not go away for 30 seconds. Pretty much a smoking gun, if you ask me. EDIT: I've verified this multiple times. Each time the taskbar pops up, I quickly exit AnyDVD... the taskbar immediately hides itself, like a good taskbar should.

I think it was Desktops (from sysinternals) I unchecked the option to load at startup and rebooted, and CC3 works now. Perhaps the hooks it sets in the bowels of Windows tripped some alarm for CC3.

I've never had a single bad +RW, but I apparently had 2 in a row here. I just tried a third and it worked. I would say, however, that the failure mode is pretty bad--needing to reboot Windows sucks.

I only ever use +RW's. I've backed up lots of DVD's before, and never had any problems. Near as I can tell, it never does write anything to the DVD. The progress bar never gets filled in with anything.
