The standalone won't tell you the MPLS file chosen (afaik), but it should tell you the correct playing time which might tell you the correct playlist (assuming the player picks the correct playlist).

The latest version of Handbrake can read Bluray disk if you point the program at the disk and not a folder on the disk. It will parse it just fine.

it's actually an eac3to problem which is having an issue with parsing the TrueHD track along with the ac3 component. Remove the ac3 component and the TrueHD track parses just fine. Don't yet know how it sounds though.
