lolz

oh and something else that might be handy. I can't say 100% sure that vbulletin had it, but think it did. The option to "jump" straight into a different forum section when viewing a topic / forum section. (like phpbb can), usually located at the bottom.

Some kind of quick jump navigation?

Turn your wireless keyboard upside down and make sure you type from the right to the left LOL

That's an interesting font, upside down. Works ok for mobile devices I guess It's also a good brain/eye exercise :)

Hmmmm, the old forum software made it clear when a post had an attachment, a little icon near the thread title, a logfile for instance. This new software doesn't have that feature it seems.

I miss knowing when a thread has attachments.

I'm kind of also missing the product logo's up top :(

Tom did an enormous amount of work in a very short time, mainly to get rid of spammers, the other options will be added, if posible , please just put a request in this thread and we will see if it can be enabled. Thank you.

product logos in navigation are not really necessary. Will interfere with responsive design.

not if it's really responsive ;) Images get resized/location moved :)

I miss the real time top page that showed who was logged in and active :)

You'll find all of these information in right sidebar on home page

I'm lacking the "delete post" function the previous one had when you go into "more options" of a reply

Great job on the new forum, Tom!
The only thing I would suggest is fix the 'home' button at the top of the forum so it sends you to the top webpage of the forum and not the www.slysoft.com homepage.

i.e. there are two homepage links, the top one is ok to point to the Slysoft homepage but the second one below it should by the forum homepage.

Edit: It looks like you could just delete the extra "home" link as the one below it seems to be main the forum page "Slysoft Talk (English)".

Grmpf.... about a month ago, zebadee posted:

Hi
In the titles (Home - Forum - Members).
Both Home & Forum perform the same function.
Can I suggest that Home takes user to http://www.slysoft.com

Where do we go from here?

Where do we go from here?
At the top under SlySoft Forums, rename Home to SlySoft(.com)?

Also, when in a forum, I see this bar above the thread title like this:
Home>SlySoft Talk (english)>General Chat.
This is where the buttons lead to:
Home (http://www.slysoft.com/)>SlySoft Talk (english) (https://forum.slysoft.com/#slysoft-talk-english.8)>General Chat (https://forum.slysoft.com/forums/general-chat.12/).

It doesn't make sense for that Home button to take you out of the forum, so rename both (and adjusting Forums Home link accordingly too).

Would be better like this:

Hi :)
There could be some tweaking done here.
#1:- Logo:
Two things here.
Firstly you have "logoBlock" .
This only appears with Microsoft Edge apparently.
So maybe ignore?

2ev97yr.png

Unnecessary.
Click here takes you to Forum home.
https://forum.slysoft.com/
Suggest this be made
http://www.slysoft.com

#2:- Home:
htei4l.png
You could have this take you to the forums "Home"
https://forum.slysoft.com/
But then "Forums" does the same thing.
So rename (slysoft.com+link to)
& dispense with the need for any link in the logo bit.(#1).
#3:- Home:
ieo4ed.png
If you have renamed "Home" as above (#2).
Then this could stay as it is.
Technically it is the Homepage of the forums.

Thanks guys for suggestions, but Xenforo drives me crazy...
'Home' link has to point to https://forum.slysoft.com/ since 'Home' is not just in navi bar, also in breadcrumbs.
'SlySoft.Forum' logo has to point to https://forum.slysoft.com/ - anything else would be nonsense

I added now a new logo on the top right, which points to "SlySoft.com". Until our graphic designer sends me the correct image, it will be the same logo as on the left (just to cause some confusion)

;-)
