Hi newbie here.
last night I just got a NO DRIVE DETECTED ERROR MSG while trying to backup a movie that I purchased. I've been using AnyDVD for awhile and up to Thursday night everything was fine. The msg said:
Possible reasons:
1. You don't have have a dvd drive, buy one.
2. You haven't rebooted your system after AnyDVD has been installed. Please
restart your computer.
3. Your external DVD drive is not powered on or is not properly connected.
4. There is a problem initializing the AnyDVD driver. If this is the case, try
this: Unistall AnyDVD, reboot. Install AnyDVD, reboot.
I don't use an external DVD and I've already installed/re-installed AnyDVD a few times. I was using version 6.5 5.9 but have upgraded to 6.5 6.2 but still get the same error msg. I also had a Sonic software but I have since uninstalled it. When I checked the Device Manager, there is a yellow exclamation point on the DVD burner, Pioneer DVR 109. I tried using the troubleshooter but that didnt help. I am also unable to burn any thing off of my HD using IMGburn. I'm thinking that my DVD burner crapped out and need to purchase a new one. Does anyone have any ideas what could possibly be wrong? Thanks and sorry for the long message.
