edit> need to remove that sunglasses smiley....or at least change the trigger word :p

Please update to v3.1.2.2

Then... when creating the profile, on step 4 select "advanced options".
From here set "game management" to "fully supported", then finish creating the profile.

FYI can you upload the summary.log file, and we will add this game to the profile library.

Updated to 3.1.2.2. Created the profile using the Safedisc Protected Game profile map. The game booted up that 1 time after the wizard, and I was able to create a profile with 100% sector data (summary.log file attached). However, the "Insert correct CD-ROM" error pops up whenever I try to re-execute the same profile.

edit> I played around with the game management option. Settings of 'Partial' or 'Full' Support bring up the "Insert correct CD-ROM" error. Setting of Disabled brings up the "CD/DVD emulation software has been detected" error.

btw....I still don't know what the game management option does :p

Updated to 3.2.0.0 beta.....no difference in error messages whatsoever. Recreated profile and made sure sector data is 100% (attached summary.txt was created with game management set to full support)

Can you please do the following (with the latest beta).

1) Create the profile again using "Automatic" (don't change any others settings).
2) Under setting select "Advanced logging" and then run the profile.
3) Post summary.log file here.

Advanced Logging created a 400kb output, so I had to zip it up:

ack....does that option reset after every reboot?

Yes (after a GJ restart). The main reason is that it can impose a load on the machine... so it is best left off.

There was nothing in the log file that would indicate an issue.

Try setting game management to "fully supported" again... (use the profile you have already created... the setting can be changed under edit -> advanced options).

Finally do you have any GJ plugin installed?

If the above still fails... try this with the profile.
1) Set game management back to disabled.
2) Edit the profile and uncheck "auto start" and "auto stop".
3) Start the profile. FYI - the game itself wont launch because "auto start" is disabled.
4) Open the windows task manage and kill the GJ process (will be something like 12345GJ.exe). Do NOT shutdown GJ via the interface!
5) Start the game via the start menu.

The game should start without complaint... this will prove that the GJ exe is being detected somehow.

"Please insert the correct CD-ROM" is displayed instead of the usual "CD/DVD Emulation software has been detected" error

All that was installed was the default Battlefield 2/2142 performance plugin, but removing that made no difference

followed each step.....and upon launching the start menu shortcut:

"Please insert the correct CD-ROM"

Something about these Safedisc games.....Securom brings up no troubles for me

Ok... I'm a little confused here.
What was the message you received when you posted the last summary.log file? was it the emulation message... or the insert CD message?

the last summary.log file posted showed the emulation message....only duplicated when game management is set to disabled.

When game management is set to full support, the insert CD message is displayed instead.

Can you please post a log file with game management enable (i.e. when you get the no cd message). Dont forget to enable advanced logging.

here you go:

On the surface I cannot see why the game is displaying a "no cd message".

Ok... next test.

1) Set game management to disabled (again).
2) Edit the profile and under advanced settings set the driver option to 512
3) In the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SlySoft\GameJackal) add a new string value called "Debug Value" and set it to "40".
4) Insert the games's cd into the driver (very important you do this step before starting the profile).
5) Start the profile from the GJ interface.

If the game starts... let me know. if not, change the registry value "Debug Value" from 40 to 173 and run the profile again.

Let me know how this test goes. The results of this should help us with a fix.
