[Use AnyDVD 6.5.1.0 beta] Problem with bangkok dangerous (Disc 1 of 2 disc S.E.)

I know the reason why I stopped the scan for my log file was because AnyDVD would hang up trying to create the log file.

Oh, I understand that part. :)

It's just going to be interesting to see what James can do without the disc or a full log. :)

I let it scan for 25+minutes and it still didn't work.:bang: So I didn't know what else to do. But I'm sure our favorite guys will figure it out. I will try and scan the disc again tonight, all night and see if anything changes.

Nothing will "change", but it'll hopefully finish the log. This would be really helpful.

I tried to create another log file for Bangkok Dangerous and left it scanning for 12hrs,still no go.

Ick! I'm sure your drive isn't happy with you about that, either.

Well, I'm sure James will see what he can do based upon the log information he does have.

Thanks for trying. :)

No,I don't think my drive was happy:disagree:. The drive made all kinds of noise through that time.

same with me kept it going for over an hour definitely new suff on here i guess we will have to wait untill it officially comes out

From now seeing reports by 3 people who posted logs and all of them containing insane read errors, I believe as James said, that some "funny copy protection" is being used.

I do not believe I've ever seen only 3 people report a problematic disc where all 3 had insane read errors and yet no one has reported success. Now, given that this disc isn't officially released yet it makes it hard to really get much feedback but if the studio released that many bad discs to market then they're in for trouble.

Give James some time and I'm sure he'll see what he can do. This disc may, of course, require James to have the disc in hand to handle since a full set of logs can't be created. Please have patience.

I was able to do movie only without a problem using anydvd 6.4.9.2 and clonedvd2 2.9.2.0

Do this please, so that I can pass the info along to a developer:

a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put the problematic original movie dvd in your burner. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Windows Explorer will open, and you will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
i) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"
m) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

movie only

By using anydvd 6.5.3 and Clonedvd2 and selecting copy title and you must change default selection to the third movie that is 1hr and 39min and it will work perfect.

My son borrowed my disc before I was able to send you the information, but just by the speed in which I was able to back up the original, there must not be much of anything different on this movie. I'm also using windows xp, so I don't know if maybe Vista users are having a harder time.

It's probably bad original discs.
