Reclock's Resampler version 0.1.7 ICL11

Well it is possible I was going mad but in late November I was sure (http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?p=148418&highlight=resampler#post148418) that using yesgrey's resampler the resampler load was balanced. I was using this version of resampler and whatever version of Reclock was out at the time. I remember switching between the dlls and getting consistent results.

I can see the point about it sometimes not being good on a dual core, in fact that is what I was referring to at the end of in my previous post. However, it was good for me with the very heavy demands of "excellent" resampling and doing HA accelerated blu-ray playback (very low CPU for video decoding).

But, as I said, it is all less important now anyway given the huge improvement in resampler performance.

James,
Libsamplerate version 0.1.5 was oficially released today. The code is exactly the code I have already released, the 0.1.5pre2, so, no need to release a new build. Can you please update the title of this thread to remove the pre2?

Another thing, do you think it would be a good idea to also put in the title that in this thread is available an ICL version of the resampler? Do as you prefer...

Quick question guys is this still faster than the newer version or Reclock?
Thanks

If it wasn't faster, it would not be available...;)
See post #29 in this thread.

I also had mixed experiences w/ Vista in KS...too many random glitches to my taste, even in 32 integer.

plus I really don't like all these mandatory system services and those ClearType fonts that look blurry to hell

So guys, what is the view on the ICL10.1 build versus James' new improved 1.8.3.2 build?!

Not sure if it's related or not, but I after upgrading to 1.8.3.2 and FFDshow to ffdshow_rev2618_20090113-mt_sse_icl10,

I get 32 Float working without pops and cracks in Excellent AC3 mode with my RME card, using jRiver MC13 for playback.

Using LSF and HR too. This is a very sweet setup for SD material.

No, as executables compiled with VS2008 won't run on Windows 9x/ME and NT4.
Define "a lot better".

Er... who is using Windows 9x/Me and NT4 these days? Nobody.
For AnyDVD you need a DVD Drive or Bluray Drive and in order to get PowerDVD version running you need a lot of system ressources, that no Win9x/Me, NT4 computer can provide.
The oldest system I have running is windows 2000 and that's really not often used. Almost all of my computers and laptops have Vista. Some stay at XP.

Advantages:
- LINQ support
- Nicer looking GUI with WPF-Designer
- better crack protection with .Net Framework 3.5(or any former version)
- you can still choose between .Net Framework 2 or 3 or 3.5 applications

Best Regards,
BurnerHEAD

here is a pack with several ICL11.0 builds and the better ICL10.1 build. Please test it to see which is the winner.

For my cpu, the winner is...
ICL10.1.
It still keeps the crown.:)

Edit: removed the file with the test builds. Already tested by leeperry.

For a small standalone DVD player replacement, e.g. for people like me who hate the PAL speedup, Win 9x with 128MB is fine. An old PowerDVD version is enough.

And yes, AnyDVD, Virtual CloneDrive and ReClock work fine under 9x.

Most of our programs are OS drivers / OS extensions / system tools. We don't do .Net.

well James b32 build is actually not that bad :D

Amazing. And a little disappointing, I would've expected ICL to perform better.
I've used no processor specific extensions at all.

32bit float was broken with ReClock versions < 1.8.3.2
