Re: Lg bh08ls20 / bh08ns20
The next MCSE release includes a BD video disk riplock patch. The patch works on Renesas chipset based LG BD drives (BH08/GGW-H20/GGC-H20). BD video disks read as fast as BD data disks, which is 8x (SL/DL) for the BH08 and 6x (SL) for the GGx drives. DL data/video disks are limited at 4.8x on the GGx drives, not sure if I can also increase this limit.

The LG BD riplock (content dependend, BD/DVD video) and read speed patches (media type dependend, BD-RE SL/DL for BH08, BD-R/ROM DL for GGW-H20x/GGC-H20x) for LG GGW-H20x/GGC-H20x/BH08xS20 burners are released in the mean time. See some scans to know what these drives are capable of.
Using patched firmware voids your warranty.

Wow, thanks a lot, I never expected to be able to go higher than 4.8x on DL in the LG drives.

EDIT: Working very well, thanks again!

i just got my Pioneer BDR-203 and it is taking about 1 hour and 45 min to write a 22gb blu-ray my lg bh08ls only took about 1 hour to write the same disk can someone help on maybe my settings

Have you gone through the stickies? There's info there about this very problem. First of all, do you have Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% installed? I don't know if SPTD (used by those programs) has problems with this drive. There is a couple of threads about this right now too, and the first one has your same drive.

thanks i will read them and see if i find my problem and no i dont have them programs installed on my computer
