Are you really that dopey? No one took anything away except support. It is very possible that the new car company in your example could stop supporting products of another company. Especially after giving clear notice of the situation.

You have just lost ANY credibility.
No one is talking about terms and conditions, its about RIGHT and WRONG.
This not a Legal stance, its a moral one.
Its simply what a "good Company" should do.
As for "Paid For"
If you paid for a BMW, you had it a few years and then BMW went out of business, a new Company called ABC takes over.
BMW no longer exist, are you saying that ABC could come round and take away your "Paid for" car.
That would be OK with you.
Or I should say, if it were in the old BMW Company (that dosent exist) "terms and conditions" that would be OK with you LOL.
Imagine you took it in for a service (Update LOL) into ABC and they kept the car, it was up on the wall in the Garage "Terms and Conditions" so that's OK then isn't it.
As usual Recycle, as you do with all, you just want to argue and argue.
Again people don't listen period to what is being said they keep making up facts over and over again. Your call analogy makes your credibility gone already-that kinda analogy is baseless and has no merits to stand on. Trying to grab for straws for there are none show already your position of not listening to REAL Facts. Your the one arguing over and over when told the Facts already and thinking by doing so they will cowtow to your demands and wants. One needs a Reality check to what happened to Slysoft(DEAD). You obviously don't want to read with RedFox staff posted that they on their own and without pay update to 7.6.9.5 to Slysoft user and yet you expect to get something for nothing now. That is where your moral falls off the cliff-your trying to do a mismash of legal/moral into one and in hopes that you will get something for nothing will go nowhere.

No its YOU that are not listening, the people that have complained are not people that normally go on here.

They did NOT know about all the crap your talking about.

They just updated as normal and found themselves in a position where they had no Licence.

That's it, no more, no less.

BTW, the pop up still says, visit the SLYSOFT page to update. So even that gives them no incline.

All that I am saying is that it should be made totally obvious, (and I mean TOTALLY obvious) on the Update/download page what will happen to their old Licence.

All this crap about the users should have done this or that is irrelevant.

It should be made much clearer, that's ALL that im saying.

Probably a lot better if you were to talk to someone this has affected, tell them what you said and see how they react.

Enough, this back and forth has gone on long enough. The facts are there have been MULTIPLE warnings, stickies and messages that their would be a version of anydvd needing a redfox license and that it would no longer accept slysoft licenses. To this date, there's still one present on the download page! This is the only place anydvd can be downloaded from so everyone sees the message. Not reading it, that's the user's fault not RedFox's. One could be forgiven is anydvd automatically updated itself so the user would not see that message. That is not the case! Updates must be downloaded manually, so everyone gets presented with the message, it's their reasonability to read it.

This back and forth is now closed.
