and this thing needed nearly five minutes for the scan which is most unusual.
This one will require James but it is a little strange to see so many sequential cells with permanent read errors like this.

and almost SEVEN minutes for this. I wonder where you are finding these discs? The number of tested/played sectors is ZERO which is really a total no-go for a DVD.

If you are running into this behavior now more and more it's time to maybe put a critical eye on your DVD drive.
