this new card allows uncompressed audio to be transferred to any AMP and the software that comes with it doesn't down sample in any way so its ideal for people like me who want full audio.
Now this is no doubt gonna cost £200+ , any ideas if any of the new Graphics cards will allow you to transfer full HD audio.

"The forthcoming ATi cards will support 7.1ch PCM over HDMI, it's unknown if bitstream will also be supported but it doesn't matter with PCM output, all you'll miss is your receiver telling you it's DTS-HD MA etc. No need for the new Xonar which will probably be rather pricey."
can any one confirm this ?? all so going down the graphics card root means you will have to use software that down samples like powerDVD doesn't it.?
