How do you playback BD ISO files in PowerDVD 8?

So now that I ripped a BD using AnyDvDHD and used Imgbrn to create a udf ISO. How do I playback in PowerDVD 8? I also have virtual clone drive set to mount file.

I just upgraded to PDVD 8 over the weekend and new to working with ISO`s but I have been using Daemon Tools to mount my ISO`s without any problems.
BTW here is an excellent thread on making ISO`s by SamuriHL

you can use daemon tools or you download virtual clone drive from this site there both freeware i prefer virtual drive but i also prefer anything slysoft:bowdown:

Mount the ISO in whatever and tell PowerDVD to play from that drive. Simple as that.

At this point i think i must refresh my informations: now i'm standing with PowerDVD7.3.3104a cause following upgrades had the "side-effect" to make unreadable from hd the ripped BD's & HD-DVD's ... that's are obsolete infos? can i upgrade to latest PowerDVD without losing all capabilities to read ripped BD, HD-DVD and DVD from hard disks or from burned dvd/bd-re ?
thanks in advance :)

So my virtual drive is showing as K:\ and when I select that drive in PowerDvD it tells me no disc in drive K:\. When I right click on the iso file properties im choosing to open file with (Mount files with Virtual CloneDrive). So what Im I doing incorrect? This was the way I created the iso.

METHOD 1: Manual Way

-Load ImgBurn
-Select create image from files/folder
-Add Blu-ray folder
-In options, make SURE UDF 2.5 is selected. VERY IMPORTANT!
-Create ISO

3319a was the last version to play from folders. You only need to read the forum a little more to know this already. (mostly) everyone's doing ISO's now so they can use the latest versions of PowerDVD without problems.

At first it was enabled, then i read imgburn had problems with Anydvd so I disabled it and re-created the movies with the same results. The weird thing is my regular dvd iso's work fine with virtual clonedrive and an older version of powerdvd on my laptop, but will not read on my desktop as well as my bd iso's.

That seems rather odd. I'm able to use my ISOs of HD DVD's/DVD's/BD's with all versions of PowerDVD. Something's not working right for you. And I'm using VCD, yes.

yep same here,no probs with any isos, just with dvd isos using mm it switches on media player (i dont use tt in media center )so i use pdvd bypassing mm.

Me too no problems with ISOs. I use VCD also.

forgive me if this is already known. Save all your ISO to a folder and double click each to mount it. PDVD sees it as disc in a drive and plays perfectly.

You guys should grab the 5.4.0.0 beta in the virtual clonedrive forum.

ok I got it but which ever version I've been using has been perfect. My dad always said "if it ain't broke don't fix it" but he was never a tweaker:disagree:
