Picked up my copy of Expendables 3 today from Wally land and trying to make a backup. AnyDVDHD not specifying a playlist and about 70 or so are listed. Scanned the disc twice to be sure. Ziplog is attached.

Also, when I ripped the complete disc to an image file then burned in to a blank blu ray disc, it gave a black screen and error message about being copy righted material after about 8 minutes of playback time, then started playback again and skipping all around the disc (this on a Panasonic DMP BD-65 player).

Using speedmenu (I'll admit I don't use this much at all) during playback seems to make no difference

I have speedmenu enabled in anydvd-It picked playlist 10 and it seems ok.

Playlist 10 is definitely out of sync, twice within the first ten minutes of play.

Looks like Screen Pass protection again... AnyDVD doesn't seem to handle this disc yet, so the Speedmenu won't be of any help.
You will have to wait for a developer to take a look.

If you have PowerDVD you could use process monitor to reveal the correct playlist, so at least you can then playback the main movie while you are waiting for a proper fix, if you don't have PowerDVD you are left with having to manually playback the stream files to find the correct order, 12 out of the 20 stream files are mixed up, so it's a bit of pain :(

My PowerDVD 10 showed playlist 10 with speedmenu activated in AnyDVDHD, but that playlist is incorrect. Guess i'll wait.

00594.mpls looks to be the right one. Assembled 2 sets of segments, and only one playlist ( I could see ) had the sequence without doing the rest. Please test

508 [504 520 513] 515 [514 509 510 507] 505 and then the rest.

Redbox US Version

Same issue, but this is a US Redbox version. I attached the ziplog. Thanks in advance.

Tested 00594.mpls...looks to be the right one. Much appreciated!

594 seems to be the playlist for thr theatrical version.

Which playlist is for extended?

Thanks.

There are evidently several versions of this disc out there. Mine was a single disc issue and has a few previews and the main movie only. All the playlists are showing a playing time of 2:06:27.

The playlists shown above are in my copy, but none show any extended playing time past the 2:06:27 mark.

Another kink thrown out there by Lionsgate, probably due to the leaked release that made it's way to the web. Even with speedmenu up and running in AnyDVDHD, the movie will not play in order using PowerDVD 10, none of the playlists shown are viable.

Speedmenu and powerDVD12

How do I use Speedmenu with PowerDVD12 on Blurays?

Go into anydvd bluray setting - speed menu's - always on our with java menu's only. Take your pick.

Please use AnyDVD 7.5.3.3 or better.

How did you find this information out? On discs like this, I usually put it in my Blu-ray player and see how long the movie is. I then search for the correct time in Handbrake. This has worked well in the past. This Blu-ray is showing almost all the tracks as 2:06.27 and my Blu-ray player is showing 2:06.26. Not going to work for me this time. I'm ripping now using track 594.mpls as others have said it was good.

Is there other software I can use to make this easier?

Yes, you can use anydvd. And if it doesn't mention the correct playlist in the status window and provide the anydvd logfile then wait for an update like people are doing here. That's about as easy as it gets

Using PowerDVD 14.0.4704.58, Process Explorer, the wally land US region A blu-ray, and AnyDVD 7.5.3.3 beta:

00756.mpls = unrated version

00820.mpls = theatrical

I'll try and get the RedBox version tomorrow to see if there is a difference.

This confirms what BabyGirl21 posted.
