When I copy a DVD to a hard disk, I always get a file ending with "dvdid.xml" under the title of the disc.
Is this file necessary?
Should I keep it?
Can I delete it without causing a problem?
Is there a way to avoid creating this file?

Have been getting four files with any rip lately.

Starting about a month ago in addition to my iso file I am also getting the following three file types (Extensions): .dvd .dvdid.xml .md5 Why am I getting these? Their not necessary and I have to delete a bunch of useless files.

Yes. It is just to help database / media player software you might use.

Untick the box "create additional .dvd file" (or similar in your language) in AnyDVD ripper.
