DVD Playback Aborts

Hi -

I’m running AnyDVD HD, updated about a month ago.

This problem occurs rarely, but always with the same discs, e.g. Hunger Games Catching Fire, Hidden Figures and No Country for Old Men.

All DVDs rip to hard drive backup with no problems. When starting playback from hard drive via Netgear EVA, for a small subset of discs, playback aborts after play movie is selected in DVD menu.

Any clues where I can start looking for the problem?

Happy New Year!
There are 6 Stickies at the top of the Any DVD HD sub forum. (Yellow background)
The first one is always the latest version of the Any DVD HD software. (General Release, or Beta)
The fifth one down, explains what is needed from you, for anyone to start trying to investigate your difficulty.
In the fifth one, pay particular attention to the bullet item #5.

If the ripping goes fine, then anydvd did it's job and this is not an anydvd problem. It's a playback problem.

Maybe there's some setting you're using that's causing the problem.
