Im Gegenteil. Die Laufwerke MÜSSEN geflasht werden. Nur ganz alte gingen damals out-of-the-box ohne geflasht werden zu müssen. So wie Daves BH16NS60 mit Firmware 1.00.
 
Danke @coopervid. Jetzt nur noch mal zur Absicherung. Mit anydvd hd kann ich auch UHDs (Discs) „on the fly“ entschlüsseln. Also disc rein und abspielen. Auf der Redfox Seite steht bei der Beschreibung nur dvd und Blu-ray. Deshalb bin ich bisschen verunsichert.

Ja, genau. Es sei die UHD-Disc wird noch nicht unterstützt. Da gibt es aber den Scanner von SamuriHL und die Liste von testiles:
