Finally got it to back up after letting the "repair dvd structure" run for a couple of hours. I successfully backed it up. Thanks for all the help!!
 
That's really odd. I did not have to repair DVD structure on my disc. Nothing out of the ordinary occurred at all. I'd check to make sure the output is playable. Like load it in DVDShrink. See if it can open the VIDEO_TS properly. And create a new VIDEO_TS, watching the Preview window to make sure nothing is black (Well, it's normal sometimes for some blank black video to be present in DVD streams.) or pixelated.
