Does anyone know how to read a mini DVD disc, that is actually the size of a regular DVD, on a PC drive? see the attached photo The disc isn't even recognised on Windows 11, when I try on a Pioneer drive, since it doesn't fit in the smaller slot meant for mini discs.

To clarify, I meant from a reverse engineering side, as to whether 4K UHD playback could be re-enabled by fixing code paths.

Would there be any way to just re-enable 4K UHD playback in PowerDVD 22/23? did anyone look into whether Cyberlink disabled the code for 4K UHD, or completely ripped out the code?

Buying another drive isn't an option right now. Can't the brute force cracking method be improved? I thought it could only possibility fail on short segments.

Unfortunately I don't have any drives, which are set to Region 4 at the moment. I usually buy discs from overseas, so the only other drive is set to Region 2.

TMT still worked fine under Windows 7 at least, with the help of AnyDVD for decryption, for every Blu-ray disc I have tried so far.

I noticed TotalMedia Theatre 6 no longer even starts under Windows 7 SP1, after installing the recent meltdown patch from Microsoft. Does anyone else have the same problem, or is it just me? I really hope PowerDVD isn't the only option left for Blu-ray playback.

Thanks for confirming the disc was faulty, the disc surface looked fine, so I was unsure. The Blu-ray drive seems fine, as no other Blu-ray/DVD discs are showing errors.

There is a problem with the copyright warning and Network/BBC logos at the start of the disc, they have pixelated glitches. The three episodes on the disc seem to play without any issues, although I only fast forwarded through to check.
