Basically, you just have to found the protection used on your disc (with protection id fr exemple), then you have to use the good programs :
If you want to make a backup, try clonecd (attention, it doesn't manage to copy all protection : for securom 5 or 7, clonecd can't pass them).
If you just want to play without the disc, try gamejackal.
ps : avoid programs like nero or easy cd creator, they are made for create disc, not to copy it.

Buy the game and try GameJackel as said above. This way you wont have to use your GameCD and it will stay in great shape.
