Additional Information

• The DirectX redist installation includes all the latest and previous released DirectX runtime. This includes the bi-monthly D3DX, XInput, and Managed DirectX components.
• The DirectX runtime cannot be uninstalled. We recommend Windows Me and Windows XP users create a "System Restore" point before installing.
  
• This update is recommended for users that do not have internet connection during installation.

Yeah.
The dxweb install isn't currently working and hasn't been for over a week. "Setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection."

I think this gets updated with Auto updates from MS. I may be mistaken.
