Seems now I have the same situation as http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=37090 except it's TMT. Of course WinDVD works.

I have VCD 5440 and Just tried with AnyDVDHD 6623. My post, halfway down the page http://www.arcsoft.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5194&PN=30 was answered by another poster experiencing same and was resolved by Virtual CD, just as first link.

Mount ISO, AnyDVDHD says scanning, then a momentary hourglass, then nothing.

I couldn't find a log file of VCD I could submit. Please inform me where it resides if any. Thanks

I can confirm this, but I have no idea what's causing it. Unfortunately TMT doesn't say a word what it doesn't like.
What is even more puzzling - it works fine with Vista & Windows 7...

Granted it's a public beta and that may be part of it. Yeah, it just sits there happy to be open. Is there anything I can contribute? So far I keep XP as a sanity check as all I like works.

You could inform arcsoft support, in case this problem is unintentional and they aren't "blacklisting" VCD on purpose.
I doubt that they do, if they did, they did a miserable job as it still works under Vista & 7. ;)

ArcSoft has know about this problem for a while now. I was hoping that the patch to .170 was going to fix it but it didn't.

They basically said Virtual CD works so I don't think they are going to fix it any time soon.

Tsk, tsk. Do they receive a commission on Virtual CD sales?

Well, Windows XP is now over 8 years old... how long do people expect it to keep working with the latest software? I'm surprised TMT works with it at all, personally. TMT didn't even work for me on Vista until after I'd upgraded my video card.
