Don't mount the .DVD file. For some reason this causes a problem with WinDVD. Just mount the .ISO file. It should play fine. With PowerDVD or ArcSoft TMT you want to mount the .DVD file.

That was actually the first thing I tried. It behaves exactly the same either with .iso or .dvd.

I starts to load, flickers the Vista screen into non-aero mode then just stops.

I also tried on an XP machine and the same thing happens.

Make sure you are using the latest versions of all the software involved.

AnyDVD HD 6.4.7.5 beta: http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6475.exe
Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.1.0 beta: http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupVirtualCloneDrive5410.exe
Corel WinDVD9 Plus BluRay 9.0 DXVA B14.091: http://www.corel.com

I'd had no issues other than what I explained about mounting the ISO directly.
