Try exiting out of AnyDVD (right click on the fox icon and choose 'exit') then set the drives region in windows, restart AnyDVD then try again, if it still fails post another logfile

Try exiting out of AnyDVD (right click on the fox icon and choose 'exit') then set the drives region in windows, restart AnyDVD then try again, if it still fails post another logfile

Generally a good idea, but it won't help on a region free disc.

Uss seaviper

James, open the zop file i sent and read the whole log. When i sent the whole log file, my message was to shorten it!

Being addressed

I have this DVD now in Support getting FileIO3 data errors.

The log does not show anything obvious to me but will be checked on the mountain top.

Your disc and / or drive is dirty and / or defective.

Uss seaviper

I am copying all other dvd's as they come out. How is the drive corrupt or the disc dirty? The disc is immaculate.

I am copying all other dvd's as they come out. How is the drive corrupt or the disc dirty? The disc is immaculate.

Maybe you need to read through the log you posted. See all those read errors? Immaculate means nothing. Either your drive is bad, the disc is bad, or the drive may not be able to read a borderline disc. Try it in another drive if you have one. If that fails, then get another disc, it's defective.

Uss seaviper

I've tried 4 different discs already and they all stop at 66%.

One time it was the fifth disc that copied!

"I've tried 4 different discs already and they all stop at 66%"

One time I went thru FIVE copies of a movie before I was able to copy it.

It was a fairly new release at the time and all five copies appeared to be "visually flawless" but 4 out the 5 "errored out" at apx 38% while being processed by anydvd on three different blu ray drives.

Usually if I can't copy a particular disc the first replacement copy I obtain will be "copyable".

A couple of times over the years I needed a second replacement copy before I had one that was "copyable"

Also trouble with USS Seaviper

Attached is the AnyDVD log file....it is stopped at 66% I have already changed the region on the drive to region 1 as suggested....had the same problem even when it was not specified.....
the drive is TSSTcorp CDDVDSH-222BB copy to a Solid State HD using Windows 8.... have AnyDVD 7.2.0.2 Beta and CloneDVD 2.9.3.1 Beta and still no luck with this one.....
All other movies have copied just fine.......?????

James, who is the AnyDVD developer has already answered this so I wouldn't expect much else to happen. He's already said that it's a faulty/dirty disc. Sounds like they've had a really bad pressing run

That's one read error in the posted text - with 9 retries.

Just for giggles.
Go into AnyDVD Settings / Video DVD / Settings and change the the AI scanner to "always enabled". Try it again.
(just for this disk - don't forget to change it back after the test!)

Tried that......still stops at 66%....

I can count the times James has been wrong about a disk on one finger....
Really.
