The logfile doesn't indicate any problem.
Well persistence has paid off. I kept trying to rip it and eventually it worked. At first it would fail at 0% like it couldn't read the disk at all. I could rip it to ISO though just fine. However, attempting to unpack the ISO resulted in a folder if approximately 35GB due to several repeating files. But after a dozen or so tries it eventually read the disk and ripped just fine.
