will any dvd and clone dvd work with the ubuntu os?

Which clone are you referring to??? Slysoft product is CloneDVD....not DVD Clone that is a knockoff and poor one at it. One needs to identify the right software when making comparisons. K9Copy if it works unless it can decrypt DVD protection will be a fruitless effort to get it.
