I know I've always said I'm very skeptical of there being an audible difference, but really 1) it's my slight OCD (or paranoia?) and 2) I don't like being misled. I'd just like to know the truth and be done.
I also don't trust how these programs do the downsampling (again, I don't know that it makes much audible difference, but still). All in all, I'd be very much happy if all movies just came out in 16/48, and properly mastered.
