I have been checking out prices of BD-R's from the usual sources including eBay and they still seem quite high. Some sellers on eBay located in Japan sell large amounts which will get them down to around $4. This only achieved by buying in bulk.
So checking out different sources on the internet were able to track down this item:

The Melody BD-R is sold on Amazon Japan for about $3usd for one piece. So I imagine if you bought bulk it would come down to $1 a BD-R. Eventually this stuff will eventually filter down to eBay etc. But for now we're out of luck.
Has anybody been able to get their hands on any of these Melody BD-R's?
