Has anyone ventured into the new world of Terabytes? Just wondering how that's working out for you. I have 4 of the 500 GB My Books, and thought about trying a Terabyte. Might try looking at Newegg at user reviews.

Actually, after posting, I went to Newegg and read reviews of the Maxtor and Western Digital and almost everything was negative. Terabytes have been out for awhile and I don't think all the bugs are worked out yet. Commom problems are the HDD going bad after a week or month and very loud fans to cool it. Loud like a hair dryer. So, I guess I'll wait for at least 6 months before I try a TB.

Personally, I think the best Terabyte is a pair of 500's. :D

Actually, three or more Seagate 750GB drives works very well. With 8 drives, you get a very respectable 4,75TB of protected storage. Enough storage for over 500 DL or 1000 SL DVDs.
