• AnyStream is having some DRM issues currently, Netflix is not available in HD for the time being.
Situations like this will always happen with AnyStream: streaming providers are continuously improving their countermeasures while we try to catch up, it's an ongoing cat-and-mouse game. but I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

See this info:

Summary for drive D: (AnyDVD 6.7.6.0)
HP CDDVDW TS-H653R 0E00 0731CZ451880
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1
Current profile: DVD-ROM
Media is a DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 1
Total size: 2158944 sectors (4216 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: PETIT_NICHOLAS
Media is not CSS protected.
Media is region free.
Video Standard: NTSC

Structural copy protection not found.
VIDEO_TS.IFO is locked to region(s): 3!
RCE protection not found.
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Bad sector protection not found.
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

Note that it says that the disc is region free --- however, it won't play on a R1-only stand-alone player. The copy made does NOT have the problem. The point is, is there some new way of region coding which might lead to problems at some stage?

I'm attaching the log file, too.

Yes, I noticed

Yes, I'd noticed that --- I was wondering whether it was some sort of new approach to region coding.

It's not, but it was only recently that AnyDVD started to identify region lockouts in both the IFO and the disc itself.
