Saving movies to hard drive

We are thinking of getting a big harddrive and saving movies to that and only coping to DVD when we travel.

Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?:confused:
 
You just rip the DVD to the hard drive, depending on the number of DVDs you want to put on the HDD, you could compress them to fit more on the HDD.
