I purchased a Samsung 4K upscaling bluray player model BD-J6300 because I bought a Samsung 4K TV.
This player won't play region 2 discs that have had the region supposedly removed by AnyDVD. It just states that the disc is an incorrect region. I see that Philips just came out with a 4K player for over $200. I don't know if that's the one I should have bought
 
According to the specifications that's a 4k UPSCALING player but NOT a real 4k player. It doesn't support 4k uhd discs. Please provide a logfile for a disc you say doesn't work, and exactly what you're seeing. What may be the case of your located in a region 1 zone, is that your player doesn't support the PAL video standard that is used on region 2 discs. Region is not the same as video standard. Images of what you're seeing are always welcome too.
