Hi,

I am having my first issue with a german Blu-ray. Can anybody help me understand what the problem is ? It did not work with 6.5.3.1 so I installed 6.5.3.2 with the hope that it would fix my issue, but it did not. I have backed up about 30 BD already without any problem, this is the first time. The Blu-Ray is KRABAT (this movie is a Blockbuster in Germany and came out about 2 Weeks ago) Region B.

Thank you very much for your help.

---------------------------------------------
Summary for drive D: (AnyDVD 6.5.3.2)
OPTIARC BD ROM BC-5500A 1.86 SEP14,2007
Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!)

Media is a Blu-Ray disc.

Total size: 23593216 sectors (46080 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: KRABAT
Media is AACS protected!
Media is BD+ protected!
Failed to remove BD+, Error 102!
ERROR processing Blu-ray disc!

More info please

Can we see the log from AnyDVD for this please?

a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put the problematic original disc in your optical drive/reader. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon in the Task Bar and select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file, a pop-up screen will appear.
Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name.
Click "ok".
g) Go to your My Documents folder and there you will see a zip file called
"Anydvd_Info_<DVD TITLE>.zip" (or something similar)

Attach that log file to your reply please.

Done. The File should be in the attachment. Thx

Try clicking on the 'DEFAULT' button in AnyDVD. And see what happens.

I tried with DEFAULT, samething. Obviously my version has a BD+ protection whereas yours only has AACS. Quite weird.

I have already posted a logfile (my second Entry in this Thread). I hope that helps.

Thx

@ chaplin

James is refering to mrr19121970. For log file.

If one has BD+ and other doesn't that is indeed strange and interesting.

My guess is that mrr19121970 has the retail version, and I have the "rent" edition. They could be using different protections.

No, his is BluRay w/o BD+ - unusual for a common release.
We are working on this as you read this update.... ;)

Mine also has 2 less playlists than yours...

Really seems to be a different disc. Is this disc published by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment? Or a different distributor?

Perhaps they run out of money and could only pay half of the Blu-ray batch. Half a license.

Or more appropriate would be they realize good fox always break copy protection. It’s no use :D

James, do you believe that you can find a solution for this BD soon ? I am asking because I can't keep it for too long. So if you say that I can have something to test in the next days, I can try to keep it a few days and will be able to give you a feedback, otherwise I would bring it back on tuesday. Thx.

just disable anydvd and make an image with ImgBurn. when anydvd is fixed, you can try again.
